Purus Vodka

Seems that everywhere I turn, I am finding new vodkas. I have yet to see many of them on the shelves of local liquor stores, but I am reading about many new and interesting vodkas.

Purus Vodka is a 100% organic Italian wheat vodka and distilled with water directly from the Alps. It is distilled five times and filtered through active charcoal. It appears that it has only been recently released and the website indicates it is available in the Boston area.

Continuing its eco-friendly theme, the bottle is 100% recyclable, has a 100% tree-free paper label, has an environmentally sustainable cork closure and environmentally safe soy-based inks and water based adhesives.

I have not seen this vodka yet, but in the next few weeks, I will be tasting several other new vodkas and will report back on what I find.

Did a little research...looks like this is an A-B product...so you can get it right along with your Budweiser ;)

Just heard they cancelled this brand as part of the InBev takeover and the push to focus on their core strength... beer. A great effort by AB that will go unrewarded.

Keep your Purus merchandise or bottles... they ay become collector's items.
