Hirsch Vineyards Wine Dinner: March 26

"Wine is one of the mysteries that mirrors the depth and inscrutability of Life itself; and as we have been taught by book and fable, it is a gift to be shared, cherished, respected, and most importantly enjoyed."
--Hirsch Vineyards

Such a beautiful sentiment.

Hirsch Vineyards will be having a wine dinner at Upstairs On the Square on March 26. Estate wines from Hirsch Vineyards will be paired with the inventive food of Chef Deborah Hughes at this Harvard Square classic. Jasmine will be on hand to present the wines and answer questions.

Dinner includes four courses with wines to match. Price is $65 per person plus tax and gratuity. I have had their 2006 Hirsch Vineyards Bohan-Dillon Pinot Noir before and it was excellent. I will likely be at this dinner so hope to see you there as well.

To make reservations, please call 617-864-1933.

Addendum 3/2/09: The menu has now been posted.

--White Asparagus Soup with Liquid Lemon Dumplings

Hi Richard,

This is quite a compelling combination, and the price (including wine!) seems reasonable too. I'll see if I can swing it (ie, find a babysitter for that night) and if I can we'll hope to see you there.

Thanks for the heads up!

Wow that does seem really reasonable. I just tasted through the current Hirsch line-up and it's fantastic. Let me know what you think.

Agreed on the pricing. I hope it goes well. The Pinot selection is a great one.

Yes, the Hirsch wines are not cheap so the price for this dinner is very reasonable. I am looking forward to trying the Hirsch Chardonnay and more of their Pinots.
