Stoneham Sun: Vermont Wines

My new column of "A Passionate Foodie" can be found in the September 16 issue of the Stoneham Sun newspaper. This is a weekly column that concentrates on reviews of local restaurants though it also sometimes touches on other food and wine topics.

The new column has been published today and will be available online soon. The new article is an overview of the Vermont wine industry, with some specific winery recommendations. Why not check out local wines from New England.

If you have any questions or comments about my column, feel free to add them here.

Hey congrats on being syndicated!

I'm a Vermonter and wine lover, too. You should ask Chris Riccobono to do a video review of some Vermont wines. He's so relaxed and non-threatening, not like some of the stuffed shirts that do this.

His blog is at pardonthatvine.com.

Good luck, Ed

Ed,

Riccobono is the "boy next door" of wine tasting and reviews. I checked out pardonthatvine. Very entertaining.

Thanks, Susie

Hi Richard: It was nice to read your comments on Vermont wineries. I should point out that our "small" vineyard of "only 12 acres" is actually the largest producing vineyard in Vermont, and we're proud of the fact that our 2000 case annual wine production comes entirely from grapes grown on our farm.

Hi Chris:
I was very happy to get to try the Vermont wines, and I do hope to try more in the near future. Keep up the good work at your winery, and maybe I will stop by some time.
