The Wine Bottega: Upcoming Events

Now is the time to stop by The Wine Bottega for a couple of interesting, upcoming events.

First up, is their Tuscan Abbondanza on Wednesday, December 9, from 6-8pm.

"For many, Italian wine equals Tuscan wine and there is good reason for this train of thought! Tuscany is home to some powerhouses of Italian wine, not to mention that it may be Italy's most visited (and beautiful) wine region and it has been enjoying the limelight since Chianti bottles had candle sticks in them. Tuscany evokes ideas of rolling hills, nestled hill towns, medieval castles and plenty of swirling wine.

You might say, "So what's so exciting these days about Tuscan wine"? Our response is "Everything"!

If you're a veteran Italophile, you may have moved on from these often well known wines. Well, it's time to revisit the heart of great Italian wine! To those who wonder what all the hype is about, we will show you first hand! We will be opening up wines from many of the legendary regions Montalcino, Montepulciano, Chianti, but in true Bottega fashion we will feature some of the lesser known, artisanal producers and micro-regions. From Brunello to the Tuscan coast and islands this promises to be a truly special event."

Cost for this event is only $10 and special discounts will be offered. I will likely be at this event so maybe I will see some of my readers there.

Next up, is their Wine & Chocolate Event, held on Wednesday, December 16, from 6pm-8pm. They will partner with Theo Chocolate, which is supposed to be the only Organic, Fair Trade, Bean-to-Bar chocolate factory in the US.

They will sample an assortment of terroir driven chocolates as well as some incredible fantasy flavors like Bread & Chocolate and Coconut Curry all paired with great wines. This sounds like a tasty event and I will try to attend this one too.
