Father's Day Restaurant Options

As Father’s Day nears, it is time to make you plans to celebrate the holiday at local restaurants. From a la carte to prix fixe menus, buffets to shoe shines, and barbeques, Boston’s venues promise to make his day unforgettable this year. Here are some options to consider.

Aura’s Fine Dining Family Style Father’s Day celebration takes place on June 18th, the Friday before Father’s Day from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. There’s a special “romper room” for kids filled with toys & crafts. Children will be able to make their own personal card for Dad, while their parents have a chance to enjoy a nice dinner out. The $30 adult prix fix menu (with beverages priced separately), aimed at pleasing your Dad's palate, includes Skirt Steak with potato puree, sweet corn and tomato succotash, and red wine glace – as well as Grilled Salmon with warm curried quinoa and golden raisin salad, braised Swiss chard, Tamarind Sauce & raita. And, to make Dad feel even more special, Aura offers a unique Father’s Day treat: a matching craft beer menu pairing each entrée with the perfect brew. Featured beers include Sam Adams, Peak Nut and Harpoon. Children’s meals, priced at $14, come in bright red Bento boxes. Look for Sweet & Sour Shrimp with Noodles and Turkey Burgers with corn on the cob and sweet potato fries. Chef Klein offers a seasonal selection of baby purees for the smallest diners at $3.

Da Vinci Ristorante will celebrate Father’s Day a night early and feature a lavish prix fixe menu with the freshest spring ingredients. Da Vinci’s menu includes items like: Beet Root Salad alla Da Vinci; Mussels alla Peppino; Scallop Salad (with green apple, poached pears in shallot balsamic vinaigrette); Spinach Ravioli (with white truffle sauce); Pappardelle Boscaiola (with sautéed morel and spring mushrooms); Pan-seared Alaskan Salmon (with artichoke and sweet potato cake); Rack of Lamb (with mushrooms and fingerling potato ragout and sauteed Swiss chard in a pesto creamy sauce); Anatra alla Peppino (two-way duck in guava moscato sauce); Papaya Cheesecake; Pear Crostata; Rose Crème Caramel (with mango coulis).
