I dropped by the OurGlass Wine Co. today for their weekly Saturday wine tasting. Today, they were serving a few new Spanish wines. Here are the two standouts.
2004 Borsao Campo de Borja Crianza ($8.99): This wine is a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a 14% alcohol content. This is a fruity, easy drinking wine. Lots of good flavor and a great buy at this price. You can drink this on its own or with pizza or burgers. Another great buy from Spain for under $10.
2006 Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha ($15.99): This wine is 100% old vines Garnacha. It has a 14.5% alcohol content. This is a big wine, with lots of dark berry flavors and spice. It has a lot of character and would be best with food. It has a long finish and a silky feel. Another good value wine that could easily sell for twice the price.
