A extensive summary of the first edition of Wine Book Club has now been posted by by David McDuff of McDuff's Food and Wine Trail. The book was Vino Italiano! by Joseph Bastianich and David Lynch. 24 bloggers participated, an admirable amount for this first wine book club event. You can see some of the commonalities of the reviews, as well as the differences too. Not everyone finished reading the weighty tome, over 500 pages, but they did make the effort.
I am certainly glad to see so much participation for this initial event and think it bodes well for even greater participation in future ones.
Tomorrow, Tim over at Winecast will be announcing the book for the second event. We have been promised it will be a smaller book this time.
