Burlesque is very hot and you will get another opportunity to catch a show at The Beehive in the South End. On October 28, from 9pm to 1am, the Beehive will present the third in their series of “Pinchbottom Burlesque."
"Pinchbottom is where burlesque meets theater, buys it a drink, and takes it to bed. Pinchbottom Burlesque is the name of a production company which produces themed & scripted burlesque shows in New York City. It is also the title under which its two creators, Nasty Canasta and Jonny Porkpie, perform as a duet. Each Pinchbottom show centers around a different theme, bringing together striptease and variety acts from top performers with contemporary narrative. It even has a plot and script!
The October 28th show centers around Pinchbottom Burlesque’s return to Boston on the eve of hometown girl Nasty Canasta & Jonny Porkpie’s wedding anniversary, which falls just three days before Halloween. What begins as a light-hearted celebration of their marriage soon turns into a sexy cavalcade of monsters, mayhem, and over-the-top costumes. Nasty and Jonny have survived years of wedlock, but can they get out of this party alive? And with their clothes intact? Trick or treat was never trickier, or so full of treats. With special guests Clams Casino and Legs Malone!
There will be no cover charge and there will be a cash bar.
I really need to get to one of these Burlesque shows!
