Thursday Sips & Nibbles

I'm back again with a new edition of Sips & Nibbles, my regular column where I highlight some interesting, upcoming food and drink events. I hope everyone dines out safely, tips well and are nice to their servers.

1) It’s almost Momosan Boston's one year anniversary. The restaurant will be offering two specialty ramen dishes the week leading up to the big day on October 15. These specials include:
---Gyukotsu ($26): 7 hour braised beef rib, kale namul, black pepper oil, and ajitama
---Duck Ramen ($20): Duck broth, Thai basil, white onion, sliced duck breast, and ajitama

2) The 13th annual global Champagne Day is coming up on Friday, October 28. Champagne Day is a day to celebrate all things Champagne, and the moments worth raising a glass for, big and small. To mark the occasion, retailers, restaurants, bars, clubs, and schools are planning events around the world, which can be found on the Champagne Day website here. If you plan to feature Champagne on or around October 28, remember to use the hashtag #ChampagneDay

3) A&B Kitchen • BAR, in Boston, kicks off the season with a variety of new fall-inspired brunch and dinner selections and signature tailgate packages.

The new Brunch Menu is available every Sunday from 11:30AM-3PM and offers selections like the Loaded French Toast (thick slice of brioche bread topped with powdered sugar, Nutella, whip cream, fresh strawberries, and pure NH maple syrup) and Crepes (homemade crepes filled with apple cinnamon topped with caramel drizzle). Guests can dig into savory dishes like the Smoked Salmon Benedict (salmon, spinach, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce served over an English muffin), Avocado Smash (avocado served on thick cut sourdough bread with sunny side up eggs), a Breakfast Burrito (eggs, cheddar cheese, black beans, rice, chorizo, and lettuce on a flour tortilla served with green fried plantains), Chicken and Waffles (fried chicken served with a homemade waffle, pure NH maple syrup, and honey butter), or Crab Cakes (fresh crab, red pepper, jalapeños, and red onion breaded with panko and baked).

Guests can also indulge in a variety of new seasonal cocktails, milkshakes, and dishes. Milkshake flavors include Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon Toast, and Chocolate Salted Bourbon. Seasonal sips like an Adult PSL (Stoli vanilla vodka, Kahlua, pumpkin liqueur), Macintosh Mule (Tito’s vodka, apple cider, and caramel topped with ginger beer), Apple Cider Sangria (Red wine sangria with a taste of sweet apple cider, sprinkle of cinnamon, fresh apple slice and cinnamon stick garnish), Queen Bee (Jack Daniel’s honey, ginger liqueur, lemon and honey simple), and Pumpkin Bourbon Smash (Evan Williams bourbon, amaretto, pumpkin cream liqueur) can be found on the menus. 

New dishes include comfort food items like a Chicken Pot Pie (grilled chicken breast, onion, diced potato, snow peas, homemade crust), Fusilli Alfredo (fresh fusilli pasta, sausage, spinach, parmesan cheese), Grilled Pork Tenderloin (grilled pork, parsnip puree, rainbow carrots, citrus apple slaw), and much more.

A&B Kitchen • Bar’s kitchen is open Sunday from 11:30AM-10PM, Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. .and Friday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. A&B’s kitchen will stay open until 1 hour after TD Garden events.
