Thanksgiving Dinner Options

If you don't want the hassle of cooking your own Thanksgiving Day dinner, then here are some local restaurants offering some other options for you. 

Aura Restaurant at the Seaport Hotel

Featuring a menu designed by Chef Rachel Klein, Aura will celebrate Thanksgiving with an elaborate Buffet Brunch offering two seatings. Selections from the spread will include: Traditional Eggs Benedict; Crab Cake Benedict; French Toast; Scrambled Eggs; Bacon; Pork Sausage; Chicken Apple Sausage; Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese Strudel; and, Spinach, Artichoke and Fontina Quiche. Chef Stations will offer: Turkey with Gravy; Sirloin with Red Wine Demi. The stationary selections will include: Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes; Whipped Sweet Potatoes; Baked Sole with Lemon Beurre Blanc; Butternut Squash Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter; Green Bean Almondine; Herb Stuffing; Cranberry Sauce; Macaroni and Cheese; and, Mixed Greens with Balsamic Vinaigrette. The dessert options feature all the traditional goodies and some other additions to the tried and true: Assortment of Mini Pies (Apple, pumpkin, pecan); Personal-sized Treats; Cheesecake; Chocolate Mousse; Assorted Cookies; and, Fresh Berries Chantilly Cream, Cinnamon and Nutmeg Whipped Cream.

In addition to Buca di Beppo’s regular menu featuring family-style Italian cuisine, the four new Massachusetts locations will also embrace a traditional Thanksgiving. Guests will be offered a turkey feast, complete with all the fixings: sausage stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy.

Located in Hotel Indigo, BOKX 109 American Prime will be serving up a customizable three-course prix-fixe menu for Thanksgiving. For starters, choose between a Japanese Winter Squash Bisque or Fall Salad of Young Greens with Seckle Pear and Goast Cheese Cake. For entrees, guests will choose between Butter Poached Rib of Beef or New Hampshire Turkey Two Ways. Family style side dish options include Horseradish Pomme Puree, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, and Broccolini. To finish off the feast, indulge in Pumpkin Cheese Cake or Dark Chocolate S’mores.

Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar and Grill will be celebrating “Turkey & Pigskin” this Thanksgiving. Guests will be treated to a traditional turkey dinner, comprised of light-and-dark meat, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, seasonal vegetables, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and dessert.

It is said that the first Thanksgiving featured shellfish and fish, so Legal Sea Foods invites everyone to share in the time-honored celebration this holiday. In addition to offering their classic menu filled with seafood fare, Legal Sea Foods will also prepare a traditional feast with all the fixings: slow roasted turkey breast served with sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, gravy and cranberry sauce.

Pairings in The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers will host a Thanksgiving brunch this year, consisting of a cold selection of appetizers, salads and desserts from the buffet tables and a choice of hot-plated entrees. Buffet appetizers include selections like: grilled pesto marinated vegetables; roasted sea scallops with bacon vinaigrette; dry aged parma ham with balsamic marinated cantaloupe; roasted scrod with saffron aioli; and, arugula & pear salad. Entrée choices include: roasted turkey filet; saffron marinated scrod; and, roasted honey mustard portabella mushrooms. The dessert buffet boasts an array of sweets including: baked sweet potato pie with roasted marshmallows; baked rhubarb and strawberry pie; warm apple cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream; and, cranberry cinnamon bread and butter pudding with caramel sauce.

Stanhope Grille will feature a customizable three-plus-course prix fixe this Thanksgiving. Guests will choose between: three first-course options (Roasted Root Vegetable Soup; Fall Salad; Cod Cakes); three main courses, served with a glass of house wine (Roasted Turkey; Oven Roasted Atlantic Salmon; Sweet Potato Gnocchi); three sides, served family-style (Roasted Pumpkin; Parsnip Mash; Coriander Spiced Carrot); and, two desserts (Taza Chocolate Pot De Crème; Pumpkin Crème Brulee).
