The Boston Wine Expo Returns

Interestingly, I was recently having a discussion with someone about the Boston Wine Expo and whether it would return one day. And then I received news that it was returning, to a different venue, and in a different month.

The Boston Wine Expo is returning in 2023, moving to the Park Plaza Hotel, on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26. The 2-day event will feature over 100 participating wineries from all over the U.S. and select international ones as well.

There will be two Grand Tastings on both Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. A VIP Tasting is available on both days for consumers looking to get extra one-on-one time with the wineries and retailers looking to develop new relationships from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. VIPs will also receive a gift bag with special offerings from sponsors, wineries and restaurants within close proximity to Park Plaza for post-event dining options.

Wine enthusiasts and novices in and around Boston love the Boston Wine Expo, and we are excited to be the ones to re-introduce it at the Park Plaza Hotel’s Grand Ballroom in late-March 2023 under our team’s vision and years of event and hospitality experience,” said Raffaele Scalzi, Boston Wine Expo Show Director and Founder of Scalzi Hospitality Corporation. “We’re making one of Boston’s marquee annual events more of an educational experience within a more-intimate setting, while also providing better opportunities for guests to interact with wine exhibitors and other guests alike.”

The Scalzi Hospitality Corporation team is currently working on the full schedule of events, tasting classes, sessions with wine producers and seminars with wine sommeliers. Tickets go on sale Thursday, December 15. General admission tickets are $99 each and VIP tickets are $140. I'm very intrigued to see how it will compare to prior Boston Wine Expos, to see which wineries attend, to see which seminars take place, and more.
