The Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro is hosting once again their Wine & Dine Monday series. Co-owner and resident wine director Cecilia Rait will select the wines and they will be paired with a four-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Jason Bond. The wines will be chosen from all over the world and the culinary selections will be prepared to match those wines.
Wine & Dine Mondays will be held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from September 15–December 15, and will begin at 7pm.
The schedule is as follows:
Sept. 15 – The Pinot Family
Oct. 6 – The House of Marchesi Antinori / Tuscany
Oct. 20 – Two Countries, One River: Along the Duero/Douro
Nov. 3 – Grenache & Garnacha
Nov. 17 – Oregon
Dec. 1 – The History of Wine & Ancient Grapes
Dec. 15 – Rhône Ranger Lindquist, featuring the Wines from Qupé Vineyards
There will be family style seating to encourage conversation. The price for each event is $55 per person and reservations are necessary so please call them to reserve your place.
I think this four-course dinner with wine pairings is very reasonably priced. And some of the wine themes sound particularly interesting, such as the Ancient Grapes and the Duero/Duoro. I may be checking out some of these events.
