Thursday Sips & Nibbles: Thanksgiving Edition

I'm back again with a special Thanksgiving edition of Sips & Nibbles, my regular column where I highlight some interesting, upcoming food and drink events. I hope everyone dines out safely, tips well and are nice to their servers.

1) Celebrate Thanksgiving at Encore Boston Harbor’s at either Rare Steakhouse or The Garden Cafe on Thursday, November 24th. 

On Thanksgiving, from 1pm-9pm, Rare Steakhouse will be treating its guests to a three-course meal including: 
--Fall squash soup with pumpkin seed gremolata, pine bud syrup
--Stuffed turkey roulade, buttermilk brioche stuffing, chestnuts, haricot verts, cranberry compôte, whipped Yukon gold potatoes, sage velout
--Roasted apple & pecan tart, bourbon caramel, crème fraîche ice cream 

The cost is $85 per person and Reservations are available HERE.

From 7am-2pm, The Garden Cafe will be serving up a three-course Thanksgiving meal, including:
--Butternut Squash Bisque featuring Local squash, tart green apple, Look Out Farms cider, crème fraîche, Vermont maple syrup 
--Oven Roasted Free Range Turkey with whipped golden potatoes, house made stuffing, cranberries, haricot verts, traditional gravy
--Chocolate-Cherry Bread Pudding made with brioche, dark chocolate, dried cherries, Vermont maple syrup, Richardson’s vanilla ice cream 

The cost is $42 per person and Reservations are available HERE. 

2) Join Bistro du Midi on Thursday, November 24th, from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., for a three-course prix fixe menu. First, main, and dessert is available for $90 per person with optional raw bar, foie gras, truffle, and side additions. An optional wine pairing will also be available for an additional cost.

3) Each of Chef Will Gilson’s restaurant, including Puritan & Co., The Lexington, Geppetto, and Cafe Beatrice, will be offering pies and sides to-go, made by Chef Will Gilson, Pastry Chef Brian Mercury, and the rest of the culinary teams. To-go sales will be available for pre-order beginning Thursday, November 11. 

4) Located adjacent to the Prudential Center, Rochambeau will be offering Thanksgiving to-go for this year’s holiday in addition to in-restaurant dining. Suitable to feed four guests each, a la carte items will be available for preorder and pick up on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please visit HERE to make a reservation. 

5) For Thanksgiving at Scampo at The Liberty Hotel, Lydia Shire presents a traditional Thanksgiving feast as a special four-course dinner featuring options like a traditional Roast Heritage Turkey w/ Muscat Gravy, Homemade Celery Heart, Sausage & Golden Raisin Stuffing; Deluxe Mashed Potatoes; and “My Father’s Cranberry Sauce.”
