Morton's the Steakhouse: Power Hours

Looking for some cheap bar food, but also want quality? Would a filet mignon slider appeal to you? If so, maybe you want to check out the Bar 12-21 at Morton's The Steakhouse in Boston's Seaport area during their Power Hours.

Though the full menu is available at the bar, they do have some special items at the bar, including such things as Miniature Prime Cheeseburger Trio, Four Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches, Chicken Goujonettes, Jumbo Lump Crab, Spinach & Artichoke Dip, and Blue Cheese French Fries. These items usually cost $9-$13 each but are discounted to just $6 each during the Power Hours. The Power Hours are Monday through Friday, from 4:30pm-6:30pm & 9:30pm-11pm. Another special during this time is that they serve Oysters for $2 each and Jumbo Shrimp cocktail for $3.25 each.

$6 is a very good deal. I had the Four Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches (which come with mustard mayonnaise which I skipped). These came on warm, soft rolls and the filet was tender and flavorful, cooked medium rare. For the price, I think they are a good value. I also had a few oysters, from the Cape, and they were excellent. They were large with a nice briny taste to them. The oysters came with lemon, horseradish, cocktail sauce, and tabasco sauce.

I will definitely return and recommend you check out their Power Hours as well.
