The Beehive: Miss Tess

Miss Tess, an up-and-coming Boston-based musician and songwriter, makes her debut at The Beehive on December 3 at 9:00pm. She will be accompanied by her Boston-based band, the Bon Ton Parade: Alec Spiegelman (sax/clarinet), Paul Dilley (upright bass), Gillian DeLear (drums).

Miss Tess’s sound spans several eras and genres, producing a unique sound and picking and strumming her way through an array of styles including: ragtime, blues, country and swing. Miss Tess writes songs with the folk sensibilities of a troubadour that engage roots-devotees and newcomers alike. A typical set conjures imagery perfect for dreamers and lovers as she croons through her original material, as well as an occasional jazz standard.

Miss Tess has been performing in Boston for the last 3 years, playing at rootsy venues such as Toad and the Lizard Lounge, as well as more prestigious rooms like the Regatta Bar. She tours nationally with her band and has released 3 albums thus far in her recording career.

Don’t miss this chance to see this rising star up close and personal.
