Just down from the South End Buttery is the South End Formaggio. This is the sister store to their famed Cambridge store. It sells cheeses, meats, prepared foods, spices, sauces, jams and other speciality foods. It is definitely a great place for exotic foods, ones not readily available at the local supermarkets. Prices are commensurate with what you are buying, so they can be expensive depending on the product. But then you are unlikely to find these foods elsewhere any cheaper. They even sell a small selection of wine, and their prices are average.
