Stoneham Sun: South End Trek

My new column of "A Passionate Foodie" can be found in the July 30 issue issue of the Stoneham Sun newspaper. This is a weekly column that concentrates on reviews of local restaurants though it may also touch on a few other food and wine topics.

The new column has been published today and will soon be available online. The new column discusses a foodie trek through Boston's South End. I provide numerous recommendations for bakeries, markets, restaurants and wine shops in the South End. Plus, you will be sure to find many places on your own too.

If you have any questions or comments about my column, feel free to add them here.

Dine with passion.

Richard, thanks for all the info on your blog! I love 100% tannat wine but have a hard time finding it. Can you recommend a liquor store in the area (I live in Andover) or a online delivery option?
Best,
Dave

Hi Dave and welcome to my blog!

Are you looking for French Tannat or Uruguay? Tannat is certainly not easy to find. In Andover, you have a few wine stores you can check out. Wine-Sense (http://www.wine-sense.net), Andover Liquors (www.andoverliquors.com), and The Vineyard in N. Andover (www.thevineyard.com). I don't know if any of those stores does carry Tannat, but they are worth checking out.

Richard Trying to find where we can buy HErdade do Esporao. Tried several places in North shore area. Any suggestions? What about in Cambridge?

Hi Ed:
You could try Grapevine Travelers in Medford. Or there might be some liquor/wine stores in Cambridge, especially near Inman Square. Those stores often have a lot of portuguese wines.
